A Comparison for EnEmDee and a Few Words about Comments.
I slipped behind on my comments! I am sorry. Rest assured in the future I'll check more for new comments and answer in a more timely manner! But you can always get me fast by emailing me, and comparison requests or questions are always welcome. The below is a recent comparison request from EnEmDee!
She asked me to compare some polishes to Zoya Hope and Pure Ice Rio. Is Creative Heiress a dupe for Zoya Hope? What about Pure Ice Rio? Is Creative Kitten Has Claws a dupe for Pure Ice Rio? Let's see!
Left to Right:

As you can see, Creative Heiress is a bit lighter than Zoya Hope, and I think Zoya Hope has a bit more shimmer. Pure Ice has a purple shimmer but is much lighter, sheerer, and has larger shimmer. Creative Kitten Has Claws is a similar color to Pure Ice Rio but is a tad lighter, opaque and has much less shimmer. Thanks for the request and hope it helped!!

Comparison of Zoya Matte Velvets and ManGlaze Matte Polishes
So how close are ManGlaze Mattes Fuggen Ugly and The Death Tar and Zoya Matte Velvets Dovima and Loredana? The answer is a lot and not much.
Zoya Loredana and ManGlaze Fuggen Ugly are both dark grey, Loredana being lighter. The big difference here is Zoya's polish is far more matte. I think it is the clear winner here. Loredana has a slightly better formula than the other two Zoya mattes, but ManGlaze is the clear winner in ease of application, having a formula almost indistinguishable from regular nail polish. Zoya's is thicker and stickier. But the winner despite formula, for me, is Loredana.

In the black category, Zoya Dovima is pitted against ManGlaze The Death Tar. The colors here are again similar, but Dovima is a lighter black, with a more velvet soft matte finish. It is again more matte than the manGlaze offering. But the formula once again is better with ManGlaze - it's far easier to work with. I prefer the darker color of the ManGlaze, and the finish of Zoya Dovima. Here I'd say they tie, and you need both. Yay for needing both!

On Twitter I begged Mr. ManGlaze to make us some new colors. As I asked yesterday, why not the colors of forest and desert camouflage?

Promised China Glaze/Sally Hansen HD Comparisons
I promised yesterday to compare the China Glaze glass fleck polish type with the Sally Hansen HD liquid crystal polishes. I did two colors, and threw in a "regular" polish for good measure. I am sure you will notice the difference between all three. As suspected, the glass in the Sally HD line is very fine. Too fine, IMO. But you judge for yourself, maybe it was what you were dreaming of!!

Similar or Matching Polishes: #2 In a Series - China Glaze Moonpool
We all have polishes we long for that are discontinued. Sometimes you can find them on an out of the way website, sometimes for mucho dinero on eBay.
Or you can franken your own duplicate, or best yet find an almost exact duplicate, which I have done here.
Moonpool is a discontinued green with gold shimmer from China Glaze. Oh, I get a lot of hits on my Moonpool photo!! But now, you can have your own almost exact duplicate. These pictures are a bit more dissimilar than the comparisons, so keep reading.
Behold Icing Money Tree:
Compare with China Glaze Moonpool:
Icing's formula is similar to the China Glaze one used for Moonpool. They both are slightly runny, but nothing bad, slightly sheer but two coats gives fine coverage. They dry decently fast. Both are shimmer laden frosts that show a bit of brushstroke. Are they 100% exact dupes? No. Money Tree is slightly greener, because Moonpool has a bit more golden shimmer. But Icing Money Tree is available. Moonpool is not.
The rub: Icing Money Tree is only available (at my Icing anyway) in a set of 5 polishes, for $14.00. But, the upside is you get 5 nice polishes for what you might be able to get Moonpool for, plus shipping, on eBay. And its companion polishes are nice.
