Zoya Mata Hari is a reddish purple shimmer. It has lots of flash but still is wearable on a not-for-seduction basis. It's a fruity shade, and might get lost among the more flashy colors, but it is worth having!

Month of Zoyas! - Zoya Freja
I wore this tonight. It's great Friday or Saturday night polish. It made me feel very sexy. It's a dark grey with TONS of shimmer. Wow those little microdots of shimmer really flash rainbow. It's hot, sophisticated, and racy. Try it next time you go out on the town!

Month of Zoyas! - Zoya Tallulah
Zoya Tallulah is one of Zoya's summer collection polishes. It goes on well, has a nice shimmer. It's a pretty bright blue, looks a lot like many others out this summer, but hey, it's still pretty!

Summery Fun: Claire's 3-in-1 Polish
Claire's 3-in-1 polishes can be hit or miss. Sometimes they look like a neat tie-dye, sometimes they just look like a one color polish. But they can be pretty neat if things go right. And they are in fun summer colors, and easy to get at the mall. So why not try a few?

Month of Zoyas! - Zoya Tori
Zoya Tori is a delicious ruby red jelly with red glitter. It is drop dead gorgeous and sexy as hell. Red without being orange, catches a lot of light, and easy to apply, Tori is a must-have I will always keep in stock!

A Month of Zoyas! - Zoya Lindsay
Lindsay is a pink shimmery jelly. Easy to apply, Lindsay sparkles and makes you feel girly and sunny all day long. A winner!

OPI Bright Pair 2009 - Save Some Money!!!
The OPI Bright Pair Collection is creme polishes apparently inspired by the idea some money could be made partnering with some pants company. I am not gonna review the pants, just the polish, but I will say skinny pants and mini shorts make me shriek and run. What is this, the 80's??
Anyway the colors are cremes, and kinda bright. What else can I say? Oh, SAVE YOUR MONEY. I can say that pretty well. OPI makes damn fine polishes and I love the company to death but this bunch is a real let down. Even online these polishes are $4.73. Let's explore substitutes. I have seen the polishes and while I cannot swatch them for you, rest assured the subs I recommend are very close. You may not want a bunch of cremes, but if you do, let's go!
No Room for the Blues - billed as a vivid blue. It's a sky blue creme. Save money and get Creative Hot Pop Blue, $2.99 at TransDesign. Frankly any sky blue creme will be a good substitute.

Shorts Story, a "hot pink". Creative Hot Pop Pink, maybe? Essie Punchy Pink and Color Club Electro Candy are hotter alternatives, Zoya Audrina and China Glaze Laced Up are very good alternatives, and both cheaper (if you use Zoya's trade-in program).

A Grape Fit - grape creme. Trade in for Zoya Malia. Or maybe Creative Studio 54.

In My Back pocket is a citrus orange. No sweat - get China Glaze Breakin':
On the Same Paige is a bright orange-red creme. Not my cup of tea at all so I am going to let you down here. As I will with Over the Taupe, a grey mushroom color. if you MUST buy these and cannot find a cheap drugstore alternative (of which I am guessing there are tons) then at least buy online through some discount nail polish house.

A Month of Zoyas! - Zoya Sienna
Zoya Sienna is a bright orange jelly with orange/gold shimmer, and LOTS of it! It's fun and sunny. It has a good formula, much like the rest. Just don't overload your brush or expect opacity and you'll be just fine! Sienna is very sparkly, who can dislike that?

China Glaze Kicks Collection
The China Glaze Kicks Collection is yet another offering in the Summer 2009 brights/neon craze. While the CG polishes are not neon, they are bright, sassy and very summery. They also have pretty stupid names, but seriously who cares. The names are not the biggest problem with this collection.
The biggest problem with this collection is also its strength - there are too many colors. 12 in all: three oranges, three pinks, one pinkish-red, two blues, two greens and one purple. They are all bright colors, happy, girly and fun. Not sexy or sultry, rather girl on the beach or skating or having some wacky adventure in the sun colors. But the large amount of colors and the type of colors makes there be a bit too much similarity.
The pinkish-red creme, Sneaker Head, I did not buy. It's kinda like a chalky raspberry, and pics I saw did absolutely nothing for me, so sorry I have no picture for you. The three pinks are Laced Up, a bright pink creme, B-Girlz, which is the same exact color as Laced Up, but has blue shimmer, and It's Poppin', which is the same color as the previous two, just a shade or two darker, with a very strong goldish/pink shimmer. It's Poppin' is very hot pink. So pick carefully, even *I* don't think you need all three. But then again they are pretty cheap online...

Onto the oranges. Okay orange is not my favorite. The Kicks Collection has three, Oh How Street It Is, a somewhat dark reddish orange creme, Style Wars, a medium reddish orange creme, and Breakin', a light citrus orange with gold shimmer which is so shiny that if you look closely you can see it reflecting off my cuticles. Orange cremes, well, I am sure you can find pictures of them online, but it sounds deadly dull to me. But I think Breakin' is worth it!
China Glaze Breakin':
The blues are nice, and different enough from each other you'll want both. Custom Kicks is a teal blue creme with very subtle gold shimmer you may not even notice after application. Sky High-Top is a medium blue, with a strong blue shimmer. I like them both. If you HAVE to skip one, skip Sky High-Top.

The lone purple is swoon-worthy!! Fly is a light magenta-pinky purple, very juicy, with purple shimmer. LOVE this one!

The greens are not this collection's strength, in my humble opinion. Entourage is a Granny Smith apple green, with very light blue shimmer. It's lovely. Paper Chasing is a darker green with gold shimmer, and to me it looks like a green crayon. I only bought Entourage.

So to end this review of the China Glaze Kicks Collection - this is the collection for you if you want bright summer polishes but NOT neons. You could wear a lot of these polishes to work, unless you are ultra-conservative and can't do bright. There's a lot to choose from, and all of the formulas are pretty average China Glaze - nice, not too runny unless you overload the brush, but do require some care in application.

A Month of Zoyas! - Zoya Anastasia
Wow do I ever recommend this one. Anastasia is beautiful. It is more red than brown and the gold shimmer is amazing! Zoya's shimmer formula is pretty much the same as anyone else's. Just have a bit of care and don't overload your brush, and application should be run-free. Two coats at least are required. Two was enough for me. 2 for 2 so far!

A MONTH OF ZOYAS!!!
This month I will feature a Zoya every day! I was very kindly gifted by Rebecca my (then) entire Zoya wishlist!! She went through Zoya's very cool polish exchange program, which I believe is now over -Update - It is extended until June 1! So I have a lot of seriously hot polishes to show you and to review for you!
Today is Zoya's Malia. I had wanted this polish for a long time. The color, a grape creme, just stuck with me even when I got a couple of other purple cremes. And I am glad it did! Malia is beautiful!
Zoya's creme formula is thick and sticky, like most cremes, but less than other people's. I may not even thin it. It went on well and did not run. One coat was quite sufficient! That bowled me over! Also it did not shrink when drying. I think this month is gonna be very fun!
